The falls
To be discovered at the bend of a path or at the bottom of a valley, the Serre-Ponçon waterfalls gush forth, roar or murmur... and sometimes, in winter, freeze into cathedrals of ice.
The most beautiful peaks
Panoramic ridges, breathtaking views, and alpine atmospheres that change with every step. Each has its own summit, each its own hike.
The forests of Serre-Ponçon: nature, freshness and hiking

Boscodon, a place apart
Nestled in the heart of Serre-Ponçon, the Boscodon site is a true treasure, blending history and unspoiled nature. Its abbey, a jewel of Romanesque art, bears witness to nearly a thousand years of history, while its forest, classified as an Exceptional Forest, offers a spectacular natural setting for hiking. Combining spirituality, architecture, and remarkable biodiversity, Boscodon is a must-see destination for lovers of culture and the great outdoors.
Geological and heritage curiosities
Natural sculptures, military remains, forgotten forts... In Serre-Ponçon, the landscapes bear the traces of time and men.
When the mountain tells its story...
The Coiffed Ladies
Also called "Fairy Chimneys", these mineral sculptures of glacial origin (conglomerate column topped with a stone cap sculpted by erosion) are an astonishing geological phenomenon (up to 20 meters high), to be found here and there in the region (Châteauroux-les-Alpes, the Théus ballroom).
The Parpaillon track and tunnel
A real curiosity (and one of the most remarkable), which also allows you to go from the Durance valley to the Ubaye valley (04). 500 meters long, this astonishing tunnel was cut by military engineers in the XNUMXth centuryecentury. Although its condition no longer allows crossing it for safety reasons, the climb up the track leading to the tunnel is worth the detour to discover one of the most beautiful high-altitude landscapes in the region.
The Réallon fort (12th century)
Although all that remains of this defensive structure is its keep and its square tower, the site (an unsuspected plateau just a 30-minute walk from the main town) offers a breathtaking panorama over the Réallon valley, from the summit of Barle (2733 m) to the Durance valley.
Along the rivers and torrents
Serre-Ponçon is a land of moving water. Sporty rivers and discreet torrents, cool pools, rapids and canyons carved into the rock...
All you have to do is go with the flow.
