Become the pilot of the world's first sailing tourist office

The Serre-Ponçon Tourist Office (Hautes-Alpes) is nestled in the heart of the Alps between lake and mountain. Its geographical location, combined with its climate and top-quality nautical facilities, make it both an Alpine and a Marine Tourist Office. With this in mind, in 2020 we acquired a pontoon boat that will enable us to meet the summer visitors and boaters present on and around the Serre-Ponçon reservoir. This new tool will complement the Tourist Office's "outside the walls" collection, as well as the info-truck which criss-crosses the region on land.
A real dream job, your mission will be to promote the destination's activities to visitors, accompany the press and help Tourist Office partners discover the lake's attractions.

Mission:
As captain of the BOT (Bateau Office de Tourisme), you will be responsible for :
Welcoming and advising visitors on their stay on the water, on the beaches or at the tourist information office, outside sailing periods.
Proposing new leisure activities
Promotion of the www.exploreserreponcon.com leisure platform.
Technical support for photo and video shoots
VIP reception at events

Profile
At ease with all types of public, you'll be a true ambassador for the Serre-Ponçon destination. Rigorous and outgoing by nature, your personality is an undeniable asset when it comes to reaching out to the public as a true sales representative for the destination. Your training in tourism is welcome, but not essential. It's your strength of conviction and motivation that will be important to your future employer. Your knowledge of the region will also be a particular point of attention.

Conditions
Pleasure craft license (coastal and/or inland waterways option) and/or river license essential
Passenger transport licence would be a plus
Trilingual French, English, Dutch

Workplace: the entire territory of the Serre-Ponçon community of communes. Home port: Savines-le-Lac.

Start date: June 13
Duration : 3 months
