Description

Experience a 16th-century medieval château overlooking Lake Serre-Ponçon: large, charming rooms and suites decorated in 19th-century style, with a formal garden. Tours, cultural events, treasure hunts for children, concerts...

The castle's history began in the 11th century as a watchtower, before it took on its definitive form during the Renaissance at the beginning of the 16th century. Successively a garrison during the reign of Louis XIV and Vauban, then the residence of a nobleman, it is now a venue for a variety of events: guided historical tours, company meetings, concerts, culinary workshops, conferences....
Despite its dilapidated state after a century of neglect, the 'old lady' immediately appealed to Sharon and Jacques, who were aware of the immense potential represented by its architecture, its history, its environment and its human scale.
They were both interested in old stones and monuments with a soul.
On acquiring the property in 1999, work began on it for a good three years, and the garden was reborn in the process: an exceptional guest house was born!

Spacious, quiet rooms and suites full of character.
For the sake of authenticity, there's no room for TV ...
Discreet internet connection.
