Discover the world of energy at the foot of one of the largest dams in Europe!
The Espace EDF Odysselec Maison de l'eau et des énergies de Serre-Ponçon is:
A 200 m² multimedia space.
Interactive modules, touch screens and videos recount the history of energy. Relive the construction of the Durance dam and canal. An educational tour suitable for all ages. Tourism and Handicap label for all four disabilities.
An enhanced exhibition "Superlatif, l'aventure industrielle du siècle" (Superlative, the industrial adventure of the century).
30 giant photos of the human epic that was the construction of Serre-Ponçon. Striking images of the record-breaking construction site for which all the superlatives were used, hence its nickname of "construction site of the century". Take your smartphone and flash the QRCode to discover additional content: videos from the period, previously unpublished photos, etc.
Virtual visit-lectures: a 1? hour discovery of the management and operation of the dam and water management, with a virtual tour of the development with commentary.
Monday to Friday at 10am and 2.30pm, registration required.
Landscape readings from the belvedere: a guide will explain the environment and the workings of Serre-Ponçon from our belvedere to "see the invisible".
4 readings a day from the belvedere at 10am, 11am, 2.30pm, 3.30pm.
No booking necessary.
A discovery trail.
An outdoor trail to observe the local biodiversity and the surrounding landscapes. Signs punctuate your stroll through this exceptional natural setting.
Due to security constraints linked to the "Vigipirate plan", GUIDED TOURS OF THE SERRE-PONCON POWER PLANT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE THIS SUMMER 2024.
