The SwimRunMan is coming to Serre-Ponçon for the second time, for a race combining perseverance, humility and beautiful panoramas, in 2 disciplines: swimming and running/trail, and on the communes of Embrun, Puy-Sanières, Crots and Savines-le-Lac. 3000 hectares of water as far as the eye can see! Some even say it's a piece of the Mediterranean that seems to have landed in the heart of the Southern Alps. Facing this vast expanse of turquoise-blue water, making it the second largest man-made lake in Europe, 3 courses await you for an unforgettable sporting challenge!

SwimRunMan?
The discipline was born in Sweden in 2002, when two brothers wanted to swim/walk from island to island. In 2005, the first official race was created. In 2017, the term became a brand.
A 100% natural discipline:
- the running part takes place on trails, not asphalt,
- the locations, chosen for the quality of their panoramas, can be divided into race sections (running+swimming).
- Alternating running and swimming (mini-run section)
- Courses between lake and mountains
- Competitors carry all theequipment they need to progress throughout the race. From the moment the start is given until the finish line, no competitor is allowed to discard and/or recover any equipment, so they need to be able to constantly adapt to the alternating swims and runs on the course.
- Solo or in pairs (only in pairs for the nocturnal swimrunman)

Between discovery and accessibility, the SPRINT SWIMRUNMAN format offers a tasty mix of novices, initiates and experienced swimrunners. An ideal distance for discovering swimrun, in SOLO or DUO, the rhythmic and fun course is designed around Embrun and crosses the Lac de Serre-Ponçon twice. -
CLASSIC SWIMRUNMAN 06/26/22

The CLASSIC SWIMRUNMAN by HEAD format is the weekend's intermediate distance. Open to SOLOS and DUOS, it's within everyone's reach, provided you're ready to be transported to the foot of the Massif des Écrins and breathtaking panoramas. An intense experience.

Scheduled the day before the races, the KIDS SWIMRUNMAN are reserved for children aged 6 to 15 on the beaches of Lac d'Embrun and around the start/finish village. It's a unique opportunity for little champions to swim, run and cross the same Finishline as their elders!
