Vincent Thibon, General Manager and Rémi Pinaud, Store Manager and Brewer at Apex Brewpub
Can you introduce yourself? Your team? Your professions?
Apex Brewpub is a unique and atypical venue in the Hautes-Alpes. Rachel, Wilfrid, Rémi and Vincent put their skills to good use to create a diversified offer between the boutique selling beers from the Brasserie Artisanale de Serre-Ponçon, the ephemeral beers brewed on site and the many musical events (concerts, open stages, shows...).
Where does the name APEX come from? The concept? Its development?
Apex in Latin means "point" or "apex of an object". Apex is a direct reference to the historic logo of the Brasserie Artisanale de Serre-Ponçonwith the emblematic Pic de Morgon overlooking Lake Serre-Ponçon. For us, it's also the consecration of the project to have created a place to live like Apex, it's a bit like the pinnacle of our history.
Apex is a real hit with locals and tourists alike. Do you have any ideas for the future?
We still have lots of ideas! This year, we'd like to perpetuate our concert offer with one open stage per week + one concert per weekend. In fact, we're going to start Acoustique Folk open stages on Thursday evenings.
We work on projects other than music, such as shows, circus, magic, films, one-man shows...
We'd like to develop the snack section by diversifying the existing offer.
On the draught side, we'll be offering ephemeral beers brewed on site according to the season, such as Christmas beer, Valentine's beer and St. Patrick's beer, to introduce our customers to new styles of beer. On the store side, we'll also be offering beers and new products exclusive to Apex, as well as gift sets for Christmas, Easter and Father's Day. Finally, we can now welcome groups by reserving or privatizing the bar's mezzanine or our meeting room. This can apply to companies, works councils, seminars, anniversaries, retirements...
